Build the asset, not the job.

I write about the whole journey. Building a media company from scratch, training for Ironmans, taking the leap into the US, and playing the long game in all of it. Honest notes, shared while it's happening.

Who I am
Started with a camera. Seven and a half years later, still building.

I picked up a camera seven and a half years ago and started shooting whatever came through the door. That slowly became Desire Group, a media and creative company on the Gold Coast with a team I'm genuinely proud of, people here and all over the world. Nothing about it happened overnight. Every lesson was learned on real jobs, with real stakes, usually the hard way.

These days I write about that journey. The lessons, the people, the slow compounding of doing good work for a long time, and what I'd do differently. Shared straight, while it's still warm.

What I'm about

A few things
I believe.

No secret framework. Just how I think about building something that lasts.

01

Play the long game.

The flashy move and the right move are rarely the same one. I build for where you want to be in five years, not the dopamine of this week.

02

Build the asset, not the job.

If it only works when you're in the room, you don't own a business, you own a job. I care about the thing that runs without you, and one day is worth something.

03

Honest numbers, always.

No vanity revenue. No guessing. The truth about what it costs and what you actually keep is where every good decision starts.

04

Leverage before labour.

Automate before you delegate. Delegate before you do. The best operators are deliberately doing less, not grinding harder.

05

Build in the open.

I'd rather share the real, in-progress version than a polished highlight reel. The honest one is more useful anyway, to you and to me.

The honest version

I only write
what I'm living.

Everything I share, I'm running in my own business, right now. Not a framework I read once. The real thing, in real time, with real money on the line. No theory, no highlight reel.
